The UK–DRC Chamber of Commerce is delighted to announce the formation of a strategic partnership with the Embassy of the Democratic Republic of Congo in London, marking a significant step forward in strengthening trade, investment, and business collaboration between the United Kingdom and the DR Congo.
The Chamber’s delegation was led by Chairman Cedric Mala alongside Vice-Chair Maxime Bandakala and Community Director Guylaine Badu. The high-level meeting with the Embassy’s leadership was conducted in a warm and constructive atmosphere, where both sides expressed a strong commitment to working hand in hand to unlock the full potential of bilateral trade relations.
The discussions covered a wide range of areas, including:
Facilitating trade missions and business delegations between the UK and DR Congo
Providing direct support and guidance to UK companies exploring opportunities in the Congolese market
Assisting Congolese businesses seeking to expand into the UK
Promoting investment opportunities in key sectors such as mining, agriculture, infrastructure, energy, and technology
Chairman Cedric Mala expressed his enthusiasm:
“This partnership is a milestone for the Chamber and for the economic relationship between our two nations. By working closely with the Embassy, we will create practical pathways for businesses to connect, trade, and prosper.”
Vice-Chair Maxime Bandakala added:
“We share the same vision with the Embassy — to see UK and Congolese businesses thrive together through mutual trust, transparency, and strategic cooperation.”
The Embassy of the DRC in London welcomed the collaboration, highlighting the Chamber’s unique role as an officially accredited platform for bilateral trade facilitation. The Embassy and the Chamber will now coordinate efforts on trade promotion events, investment forums, networking opportunities, and policy advocacy to ensure businesses from both countries receive the support they need to succeed.

This strategic partnership reinforces the UK–DRC Chamber of Commerce’s mission to act as a bridge between the private sectors of both nations, driving sustainable economic growth, creating jobs, and deepening the bonds of cooperation between the United Kingdom and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
